No reviews

This turkey chilli recipe swaps beef for lean turkey mince but doesn’t skimp on taste. With crispy bacon, smoky chilli paste, and a cheeky splash of beer, this dish is a one-pot wonder. Simmer it low and slow for a rich, hearty bowl of goodness.

  • Total Time: 55 mins
  • Yield: 5 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 10 bacon medallions, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fajita seasoning
  • 1 tbsp tomato pureé
  • 1 tsp smoked chilli paste
  • 500 g turkey mince
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 330 ml beer

Instructions

Heat a big pan over medium heat. Add the coconut oil, then throw in the bacon, peppers, and onion. Fry until the onion goes soft and the bacon starts crisping up.

Chuck in the garlic, fajita seasoning, tomato puree, and smoked chilli paste. Stir it around for 30 seconds – just enough to wake up those flavours.

Add the turkey mince and break it up with your spoon. Cook until it’s browned and looking less like mystery meat.

Pour in the chopped tomatoes and beer. Stir it all together, lower the heat, and let it simmer for 30 minutes until it’s thick and delicious.

Serve it up hot with rice, tortilla chips, or straight from the pan with a spoon (no judgement).
