Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 50 g breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 30 g honey
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp mixed herbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- black pepper
Instructions
Pre-heat an air fryer to 200 degrees Celsius.
Slice the chicken breasts half so they are thin chicken steaks (this makes them much easier to cook).
Dip the chicken into the beaten egg then cover in breadcrumbs or crushed corn flakes then place into the air fryer for 15 to 20 minutes.
To make the glaze, grab a bowl and then add the lemon juice, water, worcestershire sauce, olive oil, honey, chilli, mixed herbs, salt and black pepper and mix through.
Once the chicken is ready, remove from the air fryer and set aside.
Heat a large frying pan on a medium heat and add the glaze mixture from the bowl. Simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly until the glaze thickens. Add the cooked chicken breasts to the frying pan, cover with the glaze and then serve.
