A rich sauce using turkey mince to add a twist to the classic Italian bolognaise.
Time: 40 mins
Yield: 4 portions
1. Gently fry the turkey mince and chopped garlic with no oil if using a non-stick pan. Once cooked, remove from pan and set aside.
2. Fry the onions and peppers. Once cooked add the cooked turkey mince back to the pan.
3. Add the chopped tomatoes, herbs and spices and simmer for 40mins on a medium heat until the constancy is desirable.
4. Serve on its own or with gluten free pasta.
500g turkey mince
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
2 garlic cloves
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
1 tbs basil
1 bay leaf
1 tbs oregano
salt and pepper
