An interesting twist on a traditional burger recipe The combination of fruit, meat and spice make this a winner.
Time: 20 mins
Yield: 5 portions
*per serving (if split 5 ways)
500g lean beef or lamb mince
100g dried apricots (chopped)
50g raw porridge oats
4 spring onions (chopped)
2 tbsp. parsley
2 tbsp. rosemary
2 tbsp. chilli flakes
salt and pepper
1. Pre-heat the grill to a medium heat
2. Mix all of the ingredients
3. Form into 5 burger patties
4. Grill until cooked through
To reduce the carbohydrate content you can reduce the quantities of sultanas, apricots and oats. However, they won't taste as nice.
